Spring Farm House Decor

farm house Decor

It seems to me time is running a bit faster nowadays. I knew we were approaching summertime; I didn't realize it would be this fast. I was still bundled up in front of the fireplace this past week, and here we are, with our grill ready for barbecuing for our Memorial Day Celebration. Although the forecast stated, it would be a gloomy weekend, who noticed? I think I'll rather be here in my beloved Seattle city than anywhere else in the US (especially when I saw the news about Colorado, Phew...I didn't know there was still winter and snow over there)

We are at the end of springtime, so I'd like to show you our spring interior decor. Living in the countryside, we opted for this stylish farmhouse decor, but my Love for French country decor greatly influenced how I decorated our place. The interior house itself was painted with such bright colors ( FYI: these are not my choice of colors), so I mainly decorated it with subtle, muted shades to tone down the hues of the rooms, so it does not look obtrusive but I'm after the cozy and warm feeling for the places.

I love to change the decor according to the seasons, but since it requires funds, I always try to stick with my budget to avoid overspending. So I opted for affordable items but also chic ones that did not look cheap. And I also have things that I kept through seasons and redecorated and moved to different spots around the house, especially for my antique collection. So, I mixed and matched it with my seasonal decor.

The Bicycle art frame I got from Walmart; was Love at first sight; I thought I had to have it. It is too beautiful to let it pass, and it screams springtime! I also purchased some of the items at Target Department Store; the $1, $3, and 5 dollar items are such fun items to have; They are so affordable you can toss them after the season end or keep it and use it again next season—Homegoods and Marshalls also my favorite place to buy some of my decors. I mixed and Matched my high-end art and decor with the affordable seasonal decor I purchased.
