The Beauty Benefit Of Honey

Honey for beauty

Today, the Sun is shining, and the weather is marvelous. I can't think of a better day than today! Now, let's talk about my love for natural ingredients for beauty that many skincare companies have incorporated into their beauty products.

There's no doubtfulness I prefer Natural Ingredients in my skincare regimen. But unfortunately, these active ingredients like Retinol, Peptide, and Hyaluronic Acid ( I will post about these ingredients later) are in the spotlight, taking natural Ingredients from our everyday use.

But don't give up on homemade skincare just yet, because natural ingredients benefit our skin regimen, and the treatment is practical. Although these active ingredients such as Retinol, Peptide, etc. They are great and have been proven effective, like any other active ingredients out there, which have side effects and should be used with precaution, which could be harmful if used too much or incorrectly.

With all the caution of the side effects, this should be a good reason we need a natural element to give our skin a 'vacation' from active components. So our skin can be rejuvenated, restored, and ready to face a harsh environment.

On the other hand, natural ingredients have insignificant side effects, and they work as a clarifier, firmer, and illuminator. So it is helpful occasionally to give our skin a break and use natural products to provide our skin with essential healing.

One of my Natural favorite ingredients is HONEY. This excellent natural product contains vitamins, nutrients, and minerals to help our skin achieve vitality and elasticity, including a fresh, glowing complexion. Furthermore, it is known to be antibacterial and shrink pores naturally. It will also tremendously help acne treatment and prevention, which is full of antioxidants, which are excellent for slowing down aging, rejuvenating, and reducing skin irritation. Honey has been used in various beauty commodities for centuries.

Although it has many incredible benefits, not all Honey products are appropriate for beauty, so it has to be RAW and UNPASTEURIZED. BUCKWHEAT honey is one of the best natural dark Honey made from nectar from buckwheat flowers and is highly nutritious and excellent for skincare products.

Here I listed 12 recipes to incorporate Honey into your Beauty regimen:

1. SCRUB

For sensitive skin, sometimes scrubbing aggravates and irritates the skin and creates more skin problems. Choosing the right scrub ingredients is complicated for some people, but these homemade Scrub works wonders on sensitive skin, removing dirt and dead cells. For face:

  • 1 Tbl spoon Honey

  • 1 Tbl spoon cold press Olive Oil, Coconut oil, or Jojoba oil

  • 1 Tbl spoon oatmeal

  • 1 Tbl spoon of Lemon (if you have oily skin)

Mix all together, apply to your clean damp skin, and leave it for 20 minutes. Then rinse it with lukewarm water. It would be best if you did it the least once a week.

For Delicious Body Scrub: This Honey Almond Body Scrub expects a little extra effort,

  • 3 tbsp ground Almonds

  • 2 tbsp of Honey

  • Combine these ingredients to form a paste and get the scrubbing in the shower.

2nd Recipe:

  • 1 tablespoon Buttermilk

  • 1 tsp Honey

  • 1 egg yolk

Apply it to clean skin, and let it sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

2. MASK

To improve healthy glowing skin and eliminate the unwanted black spots from sun damage. Honey and baking soda are great natural exfoliating agents and help to stimulate blood circulation.

  • 1 teaspoon of Olive Oil again; you can substitute with Argan Oil or Rose Oil

  • 1 teaspoon of Honey

  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda

Mix all together, apply to your clean damp skin, and leave it for 15 minutes. Then rinse it with lukewarm water. Do it once a week.

3. HAIR MASK

To make your hair, Silky shiny, and healthy.

Mix One cup of milk and 1 tablespoon of Honey, and a little lemon.

Pour all the mixture into your hair and put on your shower cap, or for a more great result, wet your towel with lukewarm water and cover your hair with it. Leave it on for 30 minutes, and wash your hair with your favorite shampoo and conditioner.

2nd Recipes;

Combine 2 ripe bananas, half a cup of unprocessed Honey, and one-quarter cup of olive oil. Blend the ingredients until smooth, then apply this to your hair and scalp. Leave it on for 20 to 25 minutes. Rinse the mask out with lukewarm water and shampoo. Comb through the hair to remove any remaining mass, and rinse again. Best to use it two times a month.

4. HONEY BATH

Instead of using salt during your bath time, try to use Honey and Milk to keep your skin smooth and moisturized.

Have you ever read about Cleopatra? She was the symbol of beauty and the original femme fatale in history. She loves to submerge herself on Milk-and-Honey during bath time. Myth has been told for all generations that Honey was Cleopatra's favored armament in her beauty arsenal.

Expert says the sugars in the Honey perform as natural humectants and emollients that enhance the water content and lessen the dryness in the skin even after they have been washed off. ( Sound familiar to you? It works similarly to Hyaluronic Acid. )

5. DRY LIPS

Mix Honey, Olive Oil, and Cocoa Butter for dry lips.

6. Honey Cleanser

Though it's not meant to remove delicate eye makeup, Honey makes a good cleanser. In addition, it is terrific at diffusing other products, especially when mixed with your preferred natural beauty oil.

Mix Honey with Coconut oil, Argan Oil, jojoba oil, or any of your favorite beauty oil to form a balmy texture that is smooth enough to slide over your face ( I love adding Aloe Vera gel on the mixture as well). Then, massage the concoction over your face, loosening up heavy makeup and moisturizing your skin.

7. Cuticle Moisturizer

As I stated above, Honey acts as a natural humectant ( It attracts moisture onto the skin) and produces collagen; these ingredients will help maintain the skin around the cuticles and moisturize and strengthen the skin around your nails.

Rub raw Honey over each cuticle, and leave it for 10 minutes before rinsing it with lukewarm water.

8. Hair Conditioner

Since Honey is a natural moistener agent to retain and attracts moisture, it perfects hair conditioner; it acts as a natural softener. As a result, it can prevent your hair from drying out, keeping your locks smooth, bouncy, nourished, and with plenty of life.

Try it: Mix one-quarter cup of Raw Honey with a small amount of water so it is easy to spread it around your hair. After shampooing, work it into damp hair for a few minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.

9. Sleep Aid

Expert says Honey contributes to the release of melatonin in the brain when eaten. In addition, it'll cause a slow, steady spike in insulin level that stimulates the release of tryptophan in the brain and converts to serotonin and melatonin; these two chemicals help you fall asleep.

Take one spoonful of Honey 30 minutes before you go to sleep; it'll (Honey) helps stock the glycogen in the liver, which the brain needs to keep you asleep all night.

10. Burn Relief

Get a sunburn? Don't worry! Honey loads with an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial agent for restoring moisture properties, super soothing on irritated skin, and irritating burn.

How to use it: Clean the burn, put a few drops of Honey onto the area, and let it sit for as long as you like.

11. Scar Fader

Honey's moisture replacement and antioxidant properties ( especially Buckwheat Honey) nourish and restore damaged epidermis skin, improving scar healing. In addition, honey-infused propolis can assist in toning down the appearance of stretch marks and skin discoloration.

12. To Rejuvenate Your Body From Inside.

Drink Lemon Juice with Honey every morning. To cleanse your body and help freshen up your day.

Okay, lovelies, I hope this will help you maintain healthy, glowing, and beautiful skin with the ingredients you can find right in your kitchen.

Much love,

Joice
