Mother's Day Table Decor + Chic Dessert Table Idea
After A long winter and pandemic that feels like it never ends, finally, spring brings hope and joy even when it feels like we will be in this pandemic forever.
Springtime brought warm weather and took away the long winter blues. Breathing in the fresh air feels rejuvenating, watching the flowers bloom and the sun start shining again more often.
I'm overjoyed this Mother's Day because my mom is here to celebrate this special day with us. Last year, because of the pandemic restriction, she was stranded in Manado and Bali, Indonesia, and the US finally let her in. Three months ago, my mom (age 76), with an underlying heart condition, got infected with Covid 19 in Indonesia. Because of the grace of God, she could fight the virus and come back stronger than ever. After the experience of the Covid 19, I feel so blessed I still got a chance to see my mom again.
With such an experience, we are fortunate to have my mom here and celebrate Mother's Day together. But it was more than just having a party- we wanted to celebrate her life, courage, and bravery to fight and get through the uncertainty, the pandemic, and the Covid 19. She is an inspiration, and I am honored to be her daughter and carry such a legacy.
These pictures were from our Mother's Day celebration last year; we celebrated together via A-Zoom; although we are not physically meet, it was a happy occasion because we got to celebrate the special day together. I remember getting compliments about the table setting, and I didn't shy away from showing off my table decor.
Spring always brings beautiful flowers, and our life of country living made the decor seem easy. I bought the bouquet from the supermarket and added some leaves and flowers from the yard. Most of the items I got from my collection from home. I bought two cakes from Marshall Department Store, Flower Vases from Von's & Safeway Grocery Store, and Debi Lilly Collection.
This delicious chocolate Strawberry is so good, I made it myself, and we all love it.
Rice Pudding with fresh blueberries and dark chocolate on top is one of my favorites.
This dinner table and dessert table decor show how pretty the pastel-colored set is. I adore the chic country decor; soft, demure colors were the perfect sparkly addition to the beautiful display. I loved how the different pink tones and blue colors on the dessert table were pulled together beautifully by the dynamically gorgeous blooms and desserts.
Thank you so much for reading. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there!
